In order to reserve spaces in the MPC please use the tool below and select the time and date as it relates to your needs. You can also visit the MPC Space Availability page directly.
If you are reserving for the first time, please scroll down to see additonal information about each space before placing your reservation.
Spaces are to be scheduled by the primary user only and should not be schedueld on behalf of others.
Default reservations are for 1 hour and an additonal 2 hours can be added for a total of 3 hours. If this is not sufficient for your project or activity, if you're a Faculty or Staff member that wants to utilize the 10am-12pm time, or if you have any other questions please reach out to the MPC Specialist Alex Guevara (guevara3@seattleu.edu).
The MPC Studio & Control Room are equipped with 4k Black Magic studio cameras, live multi-input switcher, L-12 audio board, external hyperdeck, in-house Intercom, and a variety of backdrops, audio, and lighting equipment.
The standard configuration for the MPC Studio and Control Room includes 3 Black Magic studio cameras (2x40-150m and 1x12-40mm Lenses), 2 boom mics with stands, as well as 2 stools (1 short, 1 tall). Additional equipment available via request ahead of the reservation. Please visit our equipment page to see a more detailed list of what is available.
The MPC Podcast Studio offers a way to produce high-quality audio recordings for content such as podcasts, online lectures, interviews, student assignments, and oral histories. The Podcast Studio is available by appointment and only during certain Media Production Center service hours, but drop-ins may be considered
The MPC Screening Room has 20-seats and is equipped with a projector and surround sound system to be used for DVD, Blu-ray, VHS, or streaming. There is an HDMI and USB-C cable avalable so that you can plug in your own device and put it up on the big screen as well. The Screening Room is available by appointment and only during certain Media Production Center service hours, but drop-ins may be considered.
The MPC also has 3 editing suites. The editing suites are the same as the drop-in zone computers, but they house a pair of external stereo speakers, a microphone for voice recording, and an extra chair for a guest. These suites are sound protected which makes them ideal for doing group work or work for your classes.
