Hui O Nani Hawai'i Student Club

"Our Mission is to advocate and educate the campus and greater Seattle community about the cultural heritage of Hawai'i. We provide a home away from home for the people of Hawai'i and of course those who take interest in the culture. Our focus on unity and family makes this group one of the most revered multicultural organizations at SU." --- Hui O Nani Homepage

The Hui O Nani Hawai'i student club meets regularly, holds outings for its members, and has an annual Luau. For more information about this year's Luau, check out http://huionani.weebly.com/luau.html.

Center for Indian Law & Policy

For more than a decade, the Center for Indian Law and Policy (CILP) at Seattle University has made Indian law a focal point by delivering an array of educational programs, services, and opportunities for law students, tribes, tribal citizens, and attorneys. We endeavor to ensure tribal history, law and government is an integral part of every student’s legal education and are committed to developing powerful advocates prepared to serve Tribes and tribal communities.

As some of the same laws exploit, marginalize, and oppress indigenous peoples on the mainland, they also contribute to oppression on the Hawaiian islands as well.
