Starting to Search - On- or Off-Campus

The Library subscribes to many interdisciplinary and subject-specific databases to support students and faculty in their research. You can search the contents of many of the largest collections at once in the library catalog, Primo, or you can select and search inside specific collections from the A-Z list.

From on- or off-campus your access to these resources is controlled through your Seattle University single sign on account, the same login you use for email, lab computers, etc. When you follow a link from a library web page, guide, or the catalog to an access controlled resource you may be prompted to log in with your SU credentials, or if you already have an active session in your browser you may be taken directly to the resource without an extra login prompt.

Accessing Library Electronic Resources

Having trouble accessing electronic resources, or logging into your library account or your Seattle University account? Test your access with these links:

  • Log into your Seattle University email. Trouble? Contact the ITS Service Desk by visiting them in person on the third floor of the library (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), calling 206-296-5571, or check the SU Account & Password guide.
  • Log into your library account with your Seattle University login. If you can log into your SU email, but not your library account, visit the library circulation desk in person on the third floor of the library, or call 206-296-6233.
  • Trouble with specific links to articles or databases? From time to time one of our subscription platforms changes or adds a URL without warning us in advance. If you try to access a resource and are forwarded to a new or unknown URL, you might see the error pictured below. When that happens, please use the linked for to report the error to us - we will fix it as soon as possible, and notify you directly when we have done so. Thanks for the assistance!
