Finding Research and Project Funding

Looking for ways to cover the costs of dissertation, capstone, or another research or creative project? This page collects resources that will point you toward potential funding options for graduate and professional students.

For even more suggestions on seeking research and project funding, consult the section of this guide for Faculty and Staff.

Office of Sponsored Projects

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) coordinates the management of funding granted to Seattle University for the purpose of carrying out a particular activity, such as research or a creative project. If you are a graduate student considering a funding opportunity from a private foundation, government agency, corporation, or other entity that will award money to the university or to a faculty member, you must consult with OSP prior to seeking funding from this source.

If you are unclear as to whether a particular opportunity requires OSP involvement, contact OSP for additional information.
