Undergrad, graduate, and Doctorial Students have access to a multitude of physical and electronic items for check out including locally held physical and electronical items, items from other libraries either remotely or in person through Orbis Cascade Alliance's Summit reciprocal borrowing program, as well as materials outside that library system through InterLibrary Loan. What is Summit Borrowing?
Seattle University is a member of the Orbis Cascade Alliance’s Summit program which is a partnership of PNW libraries that allows faculty to access and check out materials through library catalog or in-person borrowing. If you are unable to find an item through the Lemieux Library or Summit, you may then want to try InterLibrary Loan, via SU Illiad. SPL has a wealth of resources for scholars in the Seattle area. In addition to many circulating items, SPL has a robust Special Collections division and expert research librarians. Additional services at SPL include special events, free museum passes, and private study rooms.
Students living outside the city of Seattle may be eligible for a King County library card. The KCLS library system also allows eligible patrons to print up to 75 pages per week for free.
