Borrowing items
Welcome to Seattle University! Lemieux Library is excited to offer services to Cornish students. The Cornish Library’s collections, databases, and services will continue to be available while the collections migrate into SU’s system over the course of this academic year. Your student ID card will allow you to check out material and grant you access to Lemieux’s 24/7 Reading Rooms and Computer Labs.
Lemieux offers students access to a wide variety of materials including physical and electronic items, and various kits and technology items. Items not owned by Seattle University can be requested at no cost through Summit or Interlibrary Loan. For a detailed list of items, loan times, and policies please see the Borrowing Policy. For instructions and tutorials on how to obtain, request, and check out items locally held please see the Borrowing Materials tab to the left. For information on materials, including textbooks placed on Reserve by instructors and other class related materials available for you to use, please see the Class and instructor materials for loan in the library (Reserves)
You can also borrow books and media from different libraries through Summit and InterLibrary Loan. InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is a service through which you can request research materials, such as books, journal articles, book chapters, videos, and other materials that are not available in the Seattle University Libraries or in Summit. For Information on how to obtain materials from ILL and Summit please see the general Borrowing Materials guide to the left.
