Project Positive 2022

Welcome to the resource guide for UREC's Project Positive!

Project Positive is a signature UREC event that takes place the last week of February each year. This campaign, that just completed the 6th installment, focuses on body acceptance, celebrating the beauty of our own individuality and a general sense of self-care.

This project is demonstrated through programming, campus and community partnerships as well as an art installation of the Eisiminger Fitness Center, where we transform the facility completely. We weave self-acceptance and appreciation as well as positivity into all regular UREC programs and spaces.

With this year’s theme, Soothe Your Soul, we want our students and participants of this program to look inward and find ways to soothe their souls in which ever way fits their needs. We have all had similar and different struggles over the last year. Take the time to sit with the emotions and anxieties that you have gone through recently. Understand that is it important to participate in activities and movements that soothe your soul. Divert your attention to activities that you enjoy. Whether it’s a hike through the mountains, yoga practice, or getting competitive in dodgeball, take the time this week to do something for your soul.
