Library Facilities for Faculty Teaching, Research, and Scholarship

The Lemieux Library provides a myriad of spaces and support for your instruction, research, and scholarship.

  • John Popko Faculty Lounge: Dedicated faculty space for reading, conversation, and collaboration.

  • Group Study Rooms: Bookable study spaces within the library. These rooms could be used to meet with students.

  • Learning Commons Partners: Student support services in our Learning Commons. Support include the Learning Assistance Program, math tutors, writing tutors, and more!

  • Media Production Center: Tools, training, and space for students, clubs, faculty, and staff to create original multimedia productions for specific courses, clubs, or departments.

  • Special Collections and University Archives: Primary sources about the university, and special collections materials. Faculty of courses needing primary sources are encouraged to contact the Coordinator for Collection Development and Special Collections to set up a visit and discuss materials of interest for viewing. Recent classes include Fine Arts, Bookmaking; Fine Arts, Callligraphy, Medieval History; Modern Languages (German).

  • Billodue Makerspace: Students, staff, and faculty can participate in a variety of maker-related activities including sewing, fiber arts, bike maintenance, 3D printing, laser cutting, electronics, vinyl cutting, and glass work. Faculty are encouraged to contact the Manager of the Billodue Makerspace to discuss possible assignments for their course and/or to schedule a class visit.
