Whether you’re a returning SU student, have come from another institution, another country, or have been out of education for a long time, we recommend connecting with your subject specialist to make sure you know the unique resources that the Lemieux Library can provide for your graduate work.

Some highlights of what’s available to support our graduate students:

  • A broad range of subject-specific research databases tailored to the SU graduate program needs – and expert Library Faculty available 24 hours a day to help answer questions as you navigate graduate research.
  • Access to books and articles from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond through Summit and interlibrary loan
  • Workshops tailored to graduate student needs - this fall check out our sessions on “your first graduate literature review”
  • Research consultation services are available by appointment or at the 3rd floor desk, noon-4 Mon-Fri without an appointment.  Meet with Library Faculty with expertise in your subject areas to help develop research topics, explore the literature for your first literature review or proposal, access resources to help demystify research methods, and get tips on citation management, writing for publication, and opportunities to disseminate your research.

The library also has space and technology to help support graduate needs. Visit our 24-hour spaces, which include computer labs and printers, as well as high-powered CPUs with processing power to support data or programming processes that may exceed your laptop’s capacity!

Of course, all services are available to our graduate students – make the most of your time at SU by also exploring the Makerspace and Media Production Center.
