APA Manual of Style Online!

by Ekaterini Papadopoulou on 2025-11-04T12:35:30-08:00 | 0 Comments

The library has licensed access to the online APA Manual!  In addition to providing cover-to-cover full text of the style guide (The APA Publication Manual), this resource includes over 70 lessons "that present Publication Manual content in an approachable and engaging way."

It is available here and is listed on the A-Z Database list

The lessons are searchable and are also cross-referenced from within the relevant Publication Manual text itself, and can be a good way to help new researchers navigate the manual.

Some features of the Publication Manual to be aware of:

  • URLs in the address bar are persistent - so you can include them in assignment instructions, or email them to librarians and faculty when you have clarifying questions!
  • The digital page numbers match the print publication manual - so if you prefer print, you can easily refer between the two media.
  • Note that there is no need to create a personal account to view the entire Publication Manual and the Lessons.

You can create a personal account to use some features like bookmarking sections and highlight the text.

If you have any questions about using the Online APA Manual or have questions about APA citations and formatting - please reach out to your librarians:  askalibrarian@seattleu.edu

Thank you to Ekaterini Papadopoulou, Health Sciences Librarian, and Matthew Lechner, Electronic Resources & Discovery Librarian at Lemieux Library for contributing this post.
