What's open in summer?

Campus is a bit quieter during the summer months, but that doesn't stop us from continuing the fun at the Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons. You can still come by the IT help desk, the Writing Center, Learning Assistance Programs, Research Services, the Billodue Makerspace, the Media Production Center, and access our full catalog of materials––including some awesome selections for our 3rd-floor displays. Don't be shy, come on by!

Learning Assistance Programs (LAP) 

LAP professional staff are available throughout the summer for learning strategy support through in-person and remote individual consultation sessions.  Schedule an appointment through TutorTrac https://tutortrac.seattleu.edu/ or email learningassistance@seattleu.edu 

Additionally, faculty can request in-class presentations with topics ranging from general LAP overview to more tailored strategy sessions related to their coursework.  Complete a request and they will follow up and schedule a time to chat about details here: https://library.seattleu.edu/friendly.php?s=learning-assistance/workshop-request 

The Writing Center 

Open through summer and intersession for in-person and virtual synchronous or asynchronous consultations. You can check out availability and schedule a writing consultation by visiting: https://seattleu.mywconline.com/. Peer writing consultants can assist in any stage of the writing process from start to finish, even in the brainstorming stages.  

There are also services for faculty, too. Faculty can request info sessions, small group workshops, or a writing topic presentation. Research Services 

Research help is available all summer to help you with your project or paper! They can help you with getting started, finding relevant books, articles, and primary sources; choosing and evaluating the information you find, or talking through your research if you get stuck. You can drop by the 2nd Floor iDesk, make an appointment with a librarian, or send an email to askalibrarian@seattleu.edu. 

Summer Reading
