Looking for a review of a particular production?
At the Cornish Library, Gale and the International Bibliography of Theater and Dance; and at Seattle Public Library, the New York Times databases, contain newspaper reviews.
Searching for reviews looks a little different in each database, but the principles are the same. Using the database's Advanced Search option, you can target your search to find specific types of documents.
In the Advanced Search in either database, enter your search terms (eg. "The Pajama Game"), and then choose the type of information you would like, under "Document Type"
**Look for broad choices like "Review" or "Entertainment Review, " in addition to the more specific "Theater Review"**
You can use additional limiters as well, such as "Full Text," or narrow by date range. You may also want to limit by location, publication title, or language.
