Limiting your search to scores eliminates books, CDs, and DVDs from your results. There are two ways you can limit your search to scores. You can run your search and select your limits after you get your results (easiest) or you can preset your limits before you run your search.
1. Limit your search after you get your results.
The screen shot below shows the results for a simple keyword search for Jennifer Higdon. Notice how a simple search brings back a list of both scores and CDs. If you click on your preferred "ItemType" on the left side of the screen you can limit your results to scores.
2. Limit your search before you type in your search terms.
Whether you search by keyword, title, or author, you can use the advanced search option to limit search to scores. This eliminates CDs, DVDs, and books from your results.
1.) Use the advanced search in the library catalog.
2.) Enter your search term in the keyword box. You can also use the drop-down keyword menu to choose a title search or author search.
3.) Next check the "Score" box under the Item Type section at the bottom of the page.
4.) Then click on "Search."
